I have over four decades of experience in international tax matters relating to corporate formations, dissolutions, reorganizations and acquisitions; "greenfield" business transactions; licensing and technology transfers; private equity and investment funds; real estate purchases and dispositions; portfolio investment in the US public and private markets; and, for overseas high-net-worth individuals and families, cross-border wealth preservation, asset protection and succession planning.I have been privileged to hold adjunct professorships at NYU and Brooklyn law schools and leadership positions in several worldwide professional organizations. I have written or co-authored numerous treatises, portfolios and articles on international tax matters, including cross-border real estate investment, the US tax treaty network and withholding taxes on nonresident investors into the United States.After many years as a partner in major US law firms, at Andersen Law my focus is on "inbound" investing and operations in the United States by overseas companies, nonprofits, individuals and families.
