Trash Free Trails is a CIC that exists to protect our trails and the wild places they take us to. Our mission is to remove 75% of Single Use Pollution (aka: Litter!) from our trails and wild places by 2025, and (re)connecting people with nature through purposeful adventure.2022 sees a carefully developed partnership ecosystem support a global network of grassroots community volunteers to deliver 3 programmes of work; Clean Trails, Purposeful Adventures and Education, Exploration and Understanding. Whilst all of our work will always contain purposeful elements of each of these programmes, there are moments throughout the year in which projects focus on a specific element. Clean Trails - This will always be our "bread and butter", and April will be home to thousands of #TrashMobbers across the world Removing, Reporting and Rewarding, with some contributing to the vital State of Our Trails Report - pioneering citizen science research that seeks to understand the amounts, causes, and impacts of Single Use Pollution on out trails and wild places, in collaboration with Bangor University.Purposeful Adventures - We believe that it is no longer enough to leave no trace. The very fact that TFT exists demonstrates this, and in August, we will be undertaking riding, running and roaming adventures across the globe that look to #leaveapositivetrace. Be it a Trail Clean, a School take, or an outdoor skills session, we're inviting TrashMobbers across the world to join in with their own adventures. Education, Exploration and Understanding - Anecdotally, we think (know) that taking action to protect somewhere you have come to know and love, being part of a global grassroots movement all working together is good for you, and the places you protect. But, we can't prove it. Not yet! In October, we'll be seeking to do just that, through the initiation and development of longitudinal research that seeks to assess nature connection, overall wellbeing and other constructs.

Voluntary position on the board for the Cambridgeshire branch of Young Enterprise.Each year, our business volunteers inspire young people, empowering them next generation with the confidence, ability and ambition to succeed in a rapidly changing global economy. With the support of an increasing number of schools, colleges, universities and local communities young people are able make their business ideas become a reality! The board organises trade fairs, activities and other meetings and events for the teams to attend in order to foster their ideas and market their product.

The B-Side Project was the brain child of my business partner Yvette Chivers, with the main objective to merge music and to provide additional platforms for music artists, both of original music and electronic production. Sponsored by Prism Sound & Amphion Loudspeakers, with partners such as Sound on Sound Magazine Metropolis Studios, Audio Technica & ACS Custom.Successful and popular remix tracks encourage the interest in original tracks, to the point where an artist or band has found their first break due to an alternative version of their song. In addition to this, synching agreements within the advertising and film industries have provided amazing opportunities for artists (think of all the Levi’s ads and the success of the tracks used within them).The project launched in 2009 with pilots taking place in Norwich and Cambridge. 2010-2011 saw the first full year with projects in 6 UK cities. The project is now on a worldwide scale taking place on an annual basis, with 400 participants from 40 countries taking part in the most recent phase...From 2016, the top 10 winning remix tracks, and their counterparts will be released on B-Side Recordings as part of compilation albums.The B-Side Project will develop year on year, and intends to be a spearheading influence on those artists involved, will provide a unique marketing tool for linked partners and brands, and hopes to make a significant mark on the music industry as a whole.www.b-sideproject.orgwww.facebook.com/bsideprojectHQ

Spartan Race is a worldwide obstacle race, staging 5k, 10k, 25k and 50k races with a variety of obstacles. Festival Management includes the planning, organisation and execution of 10-20,000 person capacity events. My role concerned the planning and execution of the event village, where racers and spectators are welcomed and registered, where they can leave their belongings during the race, eat, drink, listen to music, take advantage of the sponsor tents, and participate in a variety of activities and competitions.

I had the pleasure of working at Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley as part of my degree in the form of a full time work placement during my third year. My role involved the setting of the restaurant and planning of service, alongside food and beverage service in a fine dining environment. I gained a vast wealth of knowledge regarding food, wine and restaurant culture during my time here, and benefited my studies with improvements in my time management, organisation and customer service under pressure.

During my studies I found the time to work part time at the Mercure as a food and beverage assistant. My role included food and beverage service, as well as conference an event planning and execution. I learnt a lot about teamwork and time management in this role.
