An IFA Compliance professional with a keen interest in project management ensuring Financial Planning and Wealth Management Companies are both compliant and profitable. Bringing trainees up to Competent Advisor Status and seeing colleagues fulfil their potential has been the most fulfilling part of my roles in recent years. Ensuring Training & Competence (T&C) adds real value both to the financial bottom line as well as making the corporate culture more productive.I bring commercial realism and prudence to the interpretation of Compliance rules. Upgrading processes so that they are both robust and efficient has added shareholder value. A further aim is to build a happier and more collaborative team so colleagues enjoy an enhanced quality of their working life. My experience has equipped me to engage projects large and small. I have seen the good the bad and the ugly across the Financial Planning and Wealth Management sector and can bring what has worked well from the great business with whom and for whom I have worked to my current assignment.Raising standards, ensuring standards are met and making the team effective is my key aim and I look to work with FCA Regulated entities with a good culture and good people who want to do the right thing and continuously look to improve.Learning and developing is not just a soundbite to me, I am always looking to read and listen to interesting content that will make me a little bit better and more effective every day. Commuting time is learning time with a special focus on expanding my holistic knowledge rather than CPD. Weekends and evenings are the time for my professional exam studies.Currently I am studying to become a Chartered Financial Planner and afterwards I plan to take Compliance focused exams with the CISI.
