With 15 years of experience at AGI, I am a subject matter expert on Digital Mission Engineering, Simulation, Executable Architecture, and Software APIs and SDKs across all of our products.I have a passion for managing complexity while building software systems that grow and evolve with new ideas despite changing requirements. I love collaborating with other innovators to enable many ideas and numerical techniques to work together elegantly.Having started with an interest in astrophysics, I pursued a degree in astronautical engineering because I wanted a career modeling real world systems-of-systems. After graduating with honors, I went on to pursue an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, studying Computational Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, and Computational Astrodynamics. Throughout this, I came to realize I have an aptitude for working with abstract data structures and software design. My core technical competencies lie in numerical analysis, verification and validation of astrodynamics algorithms, modeling and simulation, object oriented design, functional programming, test-driven development, and understanding how software architectures and APIs evolve over time. I am most familiar with C#, Kotlin, Java, Javascript, and have demonstrated aptitude in picking up any language. In addition, I excel at facilitating design discussions in an Agile team. I've become adept at applying a mixture of OOP and functional programming along with dynamic mocking to allow unit-testing of previously untested code, and I love when my team becomes more successful because of new tools and (re)designs I was able to commit to our codebase.Recently, I've become more involved with formal models in UML and SysML along with tying different analysis tools together as part of an executable architecture to simulate physics-based digital mission engineering and analysis.My primary areas of interest lie in numerical analysis, visualization, artificial intelligence, and synthesis of established numerical techniques with newer ones to solve practical problems.
