I have had the opportunity to Captain and manage yachts of all sizes for adventurous owners for 25 years in the waters of the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Pacific North West, Alaska, Central America, and South Pacific. My responsibilities include all voyage planning, material procurements, staffing, financial reporting to the owner(s) and payroll. Because these yachts are on aggressive cruising schedules yard work must be planned out carefully in advance, concentrated, budgets properly monitored, and completion dates met in time limited down periods.
