I am also driven by my military service and a strong desire to support and recognize those that sacrificed their careers and sometimes their lives, so that all citizens can enjoy their freedoms, I will be applying my knowledge and acquired management skills from a 40-year corporate business career working within the community to support veterans’ and military organizations.Springford Veterans Memorial - As a Director with the Springford Veterans Memorial leadership team, I will guide efforts to build a sustainable monument to those local residents that faithfully served our country. Special recognition is given, designated by a “star,” for those who died in combat and an “asterisk” for those who died later in life from service-related injuries, illnesses, or disease. Their selflessness is not forgotten. Additional tribute will be paid to those first responders that serve our community along with the highest individual recognition for Medal of Honor recipients.Military Order of the Purple Heart, Department of Pennsylvania – As an honoree being elected a Trustee, I will provide oversight while ensuring the organization conforms with the bylaws to preserve and perpetuate those ideas of liberty and justice. Additionally, work to aid and support wounded service veterans that are recipients of the Purple Heart.Disabled American Veterans, Department of Pennsylvania, Chapter 25. DAV is a nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families, We ensure they have the opportunity to participate in the American Dream their sacrifices have made possible. As Vice Commander I shall perform the duties set forth in the Official DAV Ritual. I shall encourage friendship among the members of this organization, discourage discord and promote harmony. Subject to the direction of the chapter, I shall act as chairperson of membership solicitation activities to the end that every eligible veteran may become a member. 31st Infantry Regiment Association - war fighter and lifetime member of this 100+ year old regiment AKA, US Foreign Legion.
