I served in three facility based Ys: NW Branch, San Antonio, Youth Director; ‘62-65; Edmond, OK New Branch; ‘65-‘70; Denton YMCA , Branch Executive ‘90-‘94. All Branches involved developing program, overseeing staff development, and facility need’s;I was the executive director of the YMCA family program and conference center, Snow Mountain Ranch in Colorado for 15 years. ‘70-‘85; As such, I was also involved in local and regional planning as a volunteer in the N W Colorado Regional Health Board. For my Colorado work, I was included in Who’s Who in the West 1980, and Who’s Who in Colorado 1984. I retired from the YMCA in 1994. In 2002 I became a wildland firefighter for the Texas Forest Service until 2009. I was also a volunteer firefighter with the De Kalb Volunteer Fire Department, 1995 -2006. In the early 90s’I helped to organize the Keep De Kalb Beautiful Committee with the assistance of many volunteers. Our work included various projects around the community.
