Richard has been in the investment industry since 1993. Over the years he has continued his education, completing many accreditations including Chartered Investment Manager, awarding him the license for discretionary portfolio management. Richard has also completed courses for the Canadian Branch Managers Qualifying examination, the Partners, Directors and Senior Officers Qualifying examinations, and Canadian Insurance LLQP.Richard’s philosophy of building portfolios with a foundation of high quality, undervalued dividend growth stocks starts with “dividend aristocrats” that raise the dividend annually, paired with complementing undervalued growth stocks. This approach has allowed clients to fulfill their financial goals and dreams over the past 27 years.Richard was born and raised in Toronto and graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario in 1991 with a BA in English. During his university years, he was a founding member of the McMaster chapter of Delta Upsilon fraternity. After travelling the world, he settled in Vancouver in 1992 and enrolled at UBC to further his academic qualifications.Outside of work, Richard has been involved for a long-time in supporting The Agape Orphanage in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He and his wife take fitness seriously and play an active role in the lives of his three sons.
