What a crazy few years it's been, and that's before Covid 19 and Brexit. First came the FCA thematic review of our closed book of business, followed by the public listing of Quilter, and then the sale of my entity to Reassure Ltd, who in turn were sold by Swiss re plc to Phoenix plc. All of this change has given me the opportunity to grow my skills and knowledge through experiences that I might not encounter again throughout my entire career. It's these opportunities that have led to my biggest accomplishments: The public listing gave me the opportunity to put together the long form report for my entity, working closely with auditors and the financial controller to produce a detailed pack of analysis and information that we had not previously required. I also formed part of the team working on the group long form report and historical financial information. My biggest challenge but also the most rewarding has been the move to Reassure. This has been a period of change and a year and so much learning. We've had to meet new and condensed USGAAP reporting deadlines, Year end for 2 different companies. Create a mid-month opening balance sheet for Phoenix whilst simultaneously doing half year reporting. This all alongside the regular reporting cycle of management accounts, statutory reporting and solvency II. Not to mention implementing the intra-group reinsurance process.  Through all of this change, tighter than tight deadlines I strive to produce efficient, high quality, timely output from a base of organisation, robust analytical skills, clear communication and strong relationships. Outside of work I'm a proud father of 3, aged 5 and under. 2 girls and a boy. I'm a keen runner, missing Parkrun and can't wait to get back out there.
