Overall responsibility for buying construction goods and services to include Plant and Materials on Projects and Supply Chain Term Agreements (including certain subcontractors) across the Group.Maximize performance of the buying function, across the contracting and development departments by developing buying frameworks to offer best value over all purchasing. Negotiate with Suppliers and Term Agreement Subcontractors to obtain the best deals, payment terms and rebates to support businesses contracting and development opportunities. Liaise with suppliers to ensure the procuring of materials meets the quality & programme requirements for all projects.Lead the Buying Team in working closely with the Development, Estimating, Commercial and Design Teams to set and review project budgets, specify materials and generate best value from specifications.Continually monitor Commercial procedures to ensure are up to date, to co-ordinate any changes that are required and advise the department of the changesManage and monitor Commercial Department’s Audits including Matrix set-up, reporting of findings and implementing identified improvements.

To manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects. Manage and lead the commercial team and maximizing project margin and adding value to the construction process by proactive involvement in procurement, cost management and reporting. To deliver best value from clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
