I was asked to provide temporary cover for two months in this role while a permanent replacement was engaged. A hand-over period of two weeks was arranged for late January 2014 so my tenure ended up being nearly four months. Architect for TIBCO providing product and solution architecture and high-level design for TIBCO product implementations. Responsible for ensuring that the adoption of TIBCO products was done following TIBCO best practices and that customers were using the products in the most appropriate ways and were receiving the most benefit from their investment.Whilst the role was primarily to be the subject matter expert for TIBCO products, a vital part of the role was also to understand how those products best coexist and integrate with other technologies or applications that the customer may have. Typically I would be responsible for ensuring that not only were the business requirements met but also the requirements of the network, database, applications, security and support teams were also appropriately considered. By looking at and being able to understand the problems at that macro level I was able to provide a significant contribution to overall solutions that best suited the customers requirements.
