I am a Retired Construction and Customer Service Business Executive. I am relaxing briefly and creating the next chapter in my career around writing, speaking & teaching.I spent years in construction operations management laying solid foundations that support growth, effectiveness, and results. The principles I learned and practiced have cross-functionality in any industry or business. I have held roles in Executive Construction Management, Organizational Development, Retail & Customer Service Management. I have experience in creating construction contracts and extended warranty contracts (including extended warranty program design and implementation). My real passion is not in building things but people.I gave construction leadership to one of the largest independent pool builders in the US (2000+ pools a year) from 1984-1998. I oversaw and managed their retail operations (2004 - 2012). I was given the responsibility for a new Organizational Development start up in 1998 and managed organizational development program from 1998-2008. I have authored, implemented & taught others how to manage with personal effectiveness programs.I have 45+ years of operational management experience. I am proficient in setting financial targets and teaching others how to achieve financial turns. My passions and specialties include:- improving business operations- training and development- the design and development of contracts, service agreements- designing and implementing operational assessments and improvement initiatives - Designing, developing and implementing guidelines to execute around improvement initiatives. I served ten years as CLO (Chief Learning Officer - [1998-2008] with Shasta Pools) implementing Franklin Covey training and development programs. I have experience in a wide variety of roles from the front line to the Executive Management level. I have designed, developed & delivered customized training solutions. I received public honors from the Franklin Covey organization as a "Facilitator of the Year", in 2000. I enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others unleash their potential. I am a seasoned teacher/facilitator. I maintained a focus on identifying, quantifying & reducing waste, in all areas of business while improving margins.I am a skilled presenter/speaker, I am passionate about speaking engagements where I share insights on operational management, business effectiveness & personal growth. I am an automotive enthusiast and a skilled fabricator. I wish to share my skills with a great organization.
