Vintage and Custom 4x4 Automotive Repair Shop-Diagnose, repair, modify, and maintain customers’ vintage vehicles with a keen eye for detail. Ensure the safety of every vehicle. Test drive and evaluate vehicles for necessary repair work. Triage services according to safety concerns and customer needs.-Modify customer vehicles to their request. Such work includes engine and transmission swaps, suspension upgrades, roll cages, sound systems, etc.-Manage customer tickets, scheduling, and work flow.-Order parts and services as needed.-Design and create parts from scratch as needed (welding, machining, etc.)-Organize workshop space, set up tools and shop equipment.-Facility improvements (lighting, wiring, network admin, security cameras, etc.). Started with an empty commercial building, made it into a work-ready repair shop.

-Provided development support to high-voltage battery pack cross-functional teams (internal customer), internal software development team, and external supplier of electronic control module hardware for hybrid and electric vehicles. Ensured compliance with U.S. Federal, European Union, and Chinese emissions and fuel economy certification (EPA White Papers).-Tracked and coordinated program deliverable timing, ensured hardware supplier and software teams were on schedule to meet product development targets.-Provided mechanical engineering support for electric powertrain control module program teams worldwide. Provided engineering support to manufacturing teams during program launch and when issues arose.-Maintained detailed product requirement specifications and ensured supplier’s understanding of such. Attended daily meetings with supplier to track progress of open issues. Reviewed specifications with battery pack customer and hardware supplier for mechanical concerns: temperature, vibration, corrosion, pinout of 168 wired connections, etc.-Reviewed BECM supplier’s validation planning, testing, and reporting at DV and PV stages. Reviewed BECM performance during internal Ford validation at the battery pack and vehicle levels.-Created engineering changes within Ford’s WERS system for change tracking and software releases. Marked up and reviewed drawing changes for CAD engineers to follow.-Tore down and analyzed competitive products for engineering knowledge base.

-Responsible for entire mechanical design of various ECM/PCMs (Engine & Powertrain Electronic Control Modules) used globally (United States, China, Mexico, and Europe).-Designed, validated, and released ruggedized mechanical package for automotive electronics: cast/stamped housing, electrical header/connector, vehicle mounting bracket. Reviewed designs with module teams and customers. Designed to customer specification/DVP&R.-Tore down product post-validation and provided mechanical engineering analysis report.-Coordinated with CAE analysis team for thermal and vibration simulations per customer specification. Instrumented modules for thermal testing. Presented results to module design team and to customer.-Provided on-site Ford customer support (U.S. & U.K.) and on-site Continental production support (Seguin, Texas). Provided on-site support to component suppliers to resolve quality issues.
