Southern Sky Adventures is a full service tour operator specializing in providing guided trips through southern and East Africa for adults and through the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia for our student travelers.Started in 2003, the company creates tailor made itineraries for adults, high school and university students. This business was founded only after returning from Africa in 2000 after a six month journey around the south end of the continent. The original plan was to visit southern Africa and continue east onto Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii before returning back to the continental US to determine my next business decisions. Africa sunk its claws in me enough to have kept me there the full time I planned to be gone. Upon my return I had a hard time getting Africa off my mind and decided to organize a few trips back as a means by which to keep a foot in this part of the world. What began as a hobby flourished enough to turn into a full time enterprise. For the last 25 years I have spent half the year living in Cape Town, South Africa hosting student groups and exploring the next outposts. The company has added offices in São Paulo, the U.S., London, Dusseldorf, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Istanbul, Moscow and Bangkok to assist in researching our personalized student journeys, exploring new geography or revisiting prior stopovers in an effort to remain up to speed on what is available for our clients to experience. These offices also visit the international high schools and universities to offer students our travel options.
