In 2009, I was asked to manage the Vodafone Credit Control function as a Credit Control Senior Executive. I implemented new dunning actions, made changes to the reporting structure and was involved in the implementation of the new dunning tool. I attended Credit Control conferences and introduced best practices which eventually improved the recoveries significantly.

In 2003 an opportunity arose for me to manage the newly set-up Fraud function within Vodafone as a Fraud and Risk Senior Executive. The duties included carrying out risk assessments on new / existing products and services and proposing mitigation measures in the best interest of the company, being kept abreast on new threats appearing both locally and globally and liaising with Group on threats experienced in other networks. I implemented new standards within the activation unit to mitigate against subscription fraud, set up credit procedures and implemented various companywide standards required by Group. Prepared training material and provided various training sessions to all front line members of staff. I was also responsible to manage a team that monitored abnormal credit card usage, irregular data and voice usage and set processes on how to react to such irregularities. I was also responsible to oversee the implementation of a Fraud Management System. In 2007, I was nominated as the chairman of the Fraud, Risk and IT Security committee where I served for two years. I moved to the Billing Department at Vodafone as a Billing Executive where my duties included assisting with the migration of the billing system, co-ordinating billing runs with the IT department, managing rateplans in the billing system, billing roaming partners and reconciling exchange of Tap files, co-ordinating with IREG / TADIG team on testing with new potential roaming partners.

I joined Vodafone Malta (set up as Telecell Limited in 1989) as an Accounts Clerk being promoted to Account Supervisor and finally to an Accounts Executive. I was responsible for assisting the Accounts Manager with the preparation of the Management Accounts and running of the Accounts Department.

I was responsible for extracting financial statements for various businesses across the industry. I also conducted audits for banks and large firms.
