Assist the Health and Safety Officer in developing, implementing and maintaining an effective Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Ensure compliance to satisfy legal requirements. Assist in the development of systems and process to ensure all employees comply with all relevant legal safety requirements. Identify safety training needs, organize and co-ordinate safety training courses and prepare training material where appropriate. Provide support services for various safety programs that are designed to prevent and reduce workplace injuries and illness. Provide assistance with establishing safety teams at locations within a defined territory, prepare safety meeting materials and records. Overseeing safety meetings, report action items discussed during the meetings. Perform site inspections and report hazardous conditions to the Safety Department management; provide assistance with correcting hazards or coordinating with Facilities department, property management, or vendors who are responsible with hazard correction. Perform Safety Department related duties and training within a defined region Process ergonomic assessment requests through an automated ticketing system, conduct phone assessments, make recommendations for workstation adjustments or equipment needs. Familiar with OSHA Guidelines to ensure compliance. Communicate with key leaders within various departments to remain current on injury/illness trends and other vital data related to Health & Safety in multiple office across the country.
