Production Support and Continuous Improvement Engineer.

Manufacturing Engineer dealing with a variety of issues in a labour intensive manufacturing environment. Involved in New product introduction, pilot, pre-pilot and development builds of new products through to impemetation of Lean, 5S, and Kaizen. Instigated and implemented various automation and semi-automated projects.

Sole responsability for the test initialisation of all smart cards for the Havant production site of Gemplus/Gemalto. Understanding and local control of the cryptographic keys, managing operator interface for running the Leroux3000 and 6 way handlers. Generating correct sequencial code for smart cards and giving advice to sales and customer services regarding products. Managed and maintained test initialsation hardware on the Leroux 3000's.

Year Placement. Responsable for the intial develop, design to manufacture companies first electric imitation wood burning stove. Designed, sourced componantry, dealt with subcontractors and was under budget. By the end of the year, stove had GASTEC British Standards certification CE marked and a patent applied for.
