As the Supply/Purchasing Manager I facilitate a number of important activities to support the operation of all Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) offices and employees at the Salt Lake City location. These include: • Serve as the expert in supply management and consult with division chiefs, executives, suppliers, and delivery personnel concerning provision of supplies and support services necessary for the different offices to function. • Coordinate all purchasing of supplies with various contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure all necessary products and services are available for all VBA offices to operate.• Serve as the point of contact for operational matters, and exercise program responsibility with other support services operations to include; space and facilities management, fleet vehicle management, personal identity verification (PIV), and administrative program operations.• Perform facility administration services and ensure adequate building services are provided to support all operations. • Contribute to the planning process for revising space assignments and give basic input for the diagram and floor plans. • Perform equipment needs analysis and establish repair and replacement parameters. • Conduct periodic inventories and dispose/excess any items appropriately.• Research and stay current with data and program functions involving management controls and provide recommendations on how changing any provided services can assist in more efficiently accomplishing business line missions and programs.

Support Specialists will independently perform a combination of responsibilities for the smooth and efficient operation of various provider clinics. Such as:Coordinate scheduling of time and space for maximum productivity. Maintains appointment schedules for over 25 medical providers. Coordinate with other departments to plan strategies to assure that patients are scheduled for optimal clinic work flow. Maintains accurate records of patients receiving care, prepares patient charts and establishes a system for easy retrieval of patient records. Assures accuracy of data capture.Screens for eligibility and communicates with the Enrollment Office for verification or resolution of disputes regarding eligibility.
