From 2018 to 2019, as part of the largest FEMA Sheltering and Temporary Essential Power (STEP) program, Aplha Industries, LLC, proudly provided emergency repairs for approximately 150 homes across Southern Puerto Rico following damages sustained during 2017 Hurricanes Irma and Maria. With over 25 project personnel at peak, Alpha Industries, LLC utilized local subcontractors and ensured quality performance of our assigned scopes.Under phase II of the FEMA (Tu Hogar Renace) we worked under both Excel and Yates. Completing around 150 houses in compliance with one of the highest primary inspection approval rate on the Island. The program consisted of numerous trades including roofing, plumbing, electrical, structural repairs and replacement. Alpha Industries, LLC encountered many challenges in this program, due to the scale and its logistics challenges as it is isolated from the continental United States. The challenges our team faced and overcame include material availability, terrain logistics, instability and outages with power and communications infrastructure, as well as political pressures. In overcoming these challenges, the Alpha Industries, LLC Team learned many lessons to maintain a rigorous production schedule while maintaining strict quality standards. I incorporated these lessons learned into future endeavors, continually improving my performance and production delivery. Alpha Industries, LLC utilized a Project Execution Plan as well as many sub-plans (including safety and quality, among others) to ensure production requirements were met. In addition, a customized project software was deployed to track project assignments, schedule, costs, overall production, complaints and warranty, among others. This software provided 24/7 access with instant communications with maps, chat and pictures for foremen, crewmen, and administration.

As the Residential Manager for CCMA I networked with Contractors, Realtors, Architects, and others in the home building industry to encourage building homes using concrete masonry framing instead of traditional wood framing. I did this in a variety of ways such as: meeting with contractors one on one, attending various meetings and seminars (such as home builder association meetings), and at times giving presentations at these meetings. I also gave presentations for the concrete block sales people at various companies to aid them in the selling of this system.• Organized home show exhibits • Brought NCSEA together with CCMA to promote “GREEN” homes using concrete masonry • Developed and presented power point presentations to various organizations. Spoke at Home Builder Association Meetings • Spoke at Producer Sales Meetings • Networked with other Associations such as; NAHB, PCA, NCMA and NCMCA. As the owner of Superior Stucco, I began with 1 employee and built the company up to having an average of over 20 employees.
