I am a former library assistant who, after graduate school, found his way into the information technology sector. I previously worked for The Walt Disney Company for 9+ years. My journey working for the mouse has taken me from retail to special projects to IT, and I was focusing on on-site and/or remote support for Point of Sale (POS) systems deployed at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, and Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa until my recent relocation to the Orlando, FL region. My primary job responsibilities within IT have included incident management (both major incident resolution and day-to-day incident handling), change/release management, knowledge management (creating and maintaining support documentation), application/hardware support for point of sale and other systems, and IT compliance (via quarterly PCI/SOX user ID reviews and annual PCI/SOX audits).
