I am a Mechanical Engineer that specializes in the design and rapid prototyping of automated equipment. Our company motto is : Aircraft Assembly Automation. My previous work with the company includes the designing and support of structural equipment (machine access platforms) and HMI (human machine interface). I have also designed and specified machine drive assemblies and motors for machine axis travel as well as vacuum systems for swarf collection. I am currently designing and analyzing major machine structures and machine drive assemblies. I am most familiar with Solidworks CAD software and have basic knowledge of Autocad and CATIA for designing. For the analysis of machine components I have used ANSYS simulation for static structural, thermal and modal analyses. On a regular basis I will interact with customers for product support. I have done proposal work and technical writing. With a company our size that is continually growing, I provide help to newer engineers. I am fortunate to have a job that allows me to not only design products, but also gives me the hands on experience of communicating with vendors, fabricating parts and building the assemblies that I have designed. I have been able to travel to other countries to install the machines that I have helped build.
