I'm currently the Director of sports & leisure within Gleeds with specific responsibility across the UK for the sector.I have diverse experience built up over the last 30 years’ as a Project Manager and Director. My experience covers projects in the leisure, heritage, urban regeneration, hospitality, retail and commercial sectors, industrial, highways and rail.Over the past 17 years, I have been involved with developing and delivering over 37 plus leisure schemes which I have led for clients in concept brief development, options appraisal, business case, design, procurement and construction delivery.The projects have included 50 and 25m swimming pools along with varied leisure water, dry side, outdoor facilities, hotels, retail, visitor attractions, tourism, football and athletics stadia along with the required associated infrastructure/improvements.These have also included extensive aquatics features and community facilities which have acted as a catalyst for town and city centre urban regeneration. This along with experience in high profile arts culture, heritage projects, hospitality, Leisure and retail space ranging from castles, theatres, museums, event space to historic houses and buildings, has given me a unique insight into complex programmes of works and projects for Govenment the public and private sectors.Such diversification across project’s and sectors generates a comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle for my clients from conception through to hand over and in use.
