Passion and enthusiasm drive me. I've spent 20 years in the Army and Space Force, excelling in multiple different jobs and learning a lot about myself in the process. Many people come out of the service and are looking to do something different. I am looking to be a PM again because it's the job I wanted, the one I chased, the one I burned bridges to get. The job that I could love, be passionate about, and excel at. So what makes PM such a good fit for me? 1) I love solving problems and feel immense satisfaction in implementing solutions that keep the program on track. Further, as my evaluations can attest to, I'm quite good at strategic thinking and pulling together isolated variables into a cohesive solution. 2) I'm a people person. I love working with a team and learning new things from them. I like having constructive disagreements because they typically expose a truth that neither party expected that reveals the path forward. 3) I like turning dreams and passion into reality. Taking the unknown and seemingly impossible, breaking it down, and turning it into tangible products / services that make a difference. 4) I simply like to have fun at work and PM work feels like fun to me.
