Working alongside Jim Kirkwood and his team, I help steer the business priorities based on the accelerated growth strategy aligned to its vision. My role includes:• Sharing insight on proven strategies and tactics based on experience of working with similar high growth businesses • Help ensure comprehensive and structured financial, operational reporting and strategic analysis are regularly shared with the Board to monitor the Company’s performance• Connecting portfolio management teams facing similar opportunities and challenges• Facilitate robust risk vs opportunity evaluations, in the wider context of value creation• Support with pre deal and post- acquisition integration • Regular input into management and wider team performance allowing for informed decisions to be at the appropriate time involving introductions to new hires • Supporting when appropriate with managing the exit helping to ensure goals, outcomes and timings are aligned

A charity close to my heart, I was delighted to step into a NED role to support the team at St Giles Hospice. With my financial and investment background I was able to support the Board with its strategic direction through helping to scale operational efficiencies, driving positive commercial change, digitalising processes, supporting employee engagement and development, and acting as a sounding board whilst providing challenge when needed. It was a privilege to be part of their team for three years. I am proud of the progress we made together. By further improving the operational running of the organisation we helped their amazing team to continue to provide incredible care and support to people, their loved ones, and their families during difficult times.
