The most important feature of this role is to sit between the commercial (Sales / Marketing / Support) and Development sides of the business so that the bulk of technical queries / demo requests / client calls can be dealt with without the need to disturb or distract the developers unless absolutely neccessary. The experience I;ve had over the years of working with and alongside developers has given me a skill for "translating" between techincal and commercial environments. As a key point of contact within business on product capabilities, I advise the sales department on features, capabilities, and security in response to requests from sales leads. I am also available as a resource for that department to call on for product demos, and handlung initial requests for techinical input and advice. I liaise with the content exec on features, capabilities, limitations etc to ensure accuracy of published content. in addition to my previous role of writing help guides for support, I also create more advanced user and marketing resources (ebooks, security guides, etc), write and present webinars, I'm also responsible for collecting user feedback via online surveys, and collate the feedback into user stories for our development roadmap planning. I still write some emails, social content and blog posts, and build workflows in hubspot.I also perform data analytics for the company - using PowerBi to produce ongoing and one-off reports using company financial and user behaviour data to provide insights for senior management and the product team. As my skills had grown, this has allowed the company to use me as a resource for our managed services clients, creating complex benchmarked reports for clients. Show less

The role was focused on player retention, encouraging players to come back and play the game regularly. This was done with multiple tactics - both weekly promotional mails to long-standing players and a "first week retention" automation chain for new players, triggered when they first logged in to the game. Using mailchimp, I was able to use dynamic content, and A/B testing extensively, And each new Alpha stage, of which there were several, saw new retention automations created and put live in multiple languages. The role required extensive co-operation with the community management team and other marketing functions to ensure a consistent strategy, as well as the BI team, for collaboration around the definition of mailing segments and (via A/B Testing) measuring the impact of communications strategies. Finally, a close relationship with the Web Systems team was important in terms of specifying and maintaining the functions of the integrations between the game, the Mailchimp Mailing List, and Mandrill-based Transactional Mails. My duties extended to include the writing, creation and delivery of online surveys (again, in close concert with the BI team), together with analysis and reporting of the results. Web Editor

I was Codemasters' Web Editor for over 6 years. The primary aspects of the job were writing copy (and subediting copy written by others) for the Codemasters website and newsletters, managing the website through the use of a CMS, the planning, testing, and deployment of CRM newsletters using our service provider's system, proofreading, liaising with the community and social media team, and some aspects of project management. In 2011, I had an important role managing the project to replace our old website which had to be shut down after falling victim to several hacking attacks. I also had the job of finding a new CRM provider as we weren’t happy with our existing one. I was able to find a provider that would offer the business a saving on our standing CRM costs as well as doubling our annual capacity for sending emails. As part of the job I am responsible for ensuring that Codemasters follows best practice regarding privacy, email marketing communications, and Age rating and certification rules. I also generate analytics reports into the performance of the campaigns and the website. Naturally, the job requires a good standard of written English. As in all my previous roles, a high level of computer literacy is required, including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and many proprietary systems. I also, where required, have done graphic design work to fill in where the web team have been unavailable. At the start of 2011 in a restructure, my role was moved to be part of the internal “brand” group Show less

Senior Qa Technician

Working in the QA team, as a senior QA technician I worked on several products (Race Driver 1, IndyCar Series, and Pop Idol) in a role supporting the team leader in the creation and implementation of test plans and other administrative tasks in addition to testing.
