Hi, I'm Richard. I am a systems thinker. I am always learning new ways to be faster, stronger, and smarter. Sometimes, I have to build new systems to solve problems with no good solution. While defining, building, and testing systems can be difficult, it is a challenge that I find rewarding. Some of my favorite projects involved building systems, whether with cross-functional teams or by myself.I have had the opportunity to lead the UAT on CMRRA's new transaction system's functional and non-functional requirements. Gathering requirements and developing test cases helped me understand the system's complexities. When writing test cases, I had to learn how transaction algorithms worked to ensure data was accurately generated. As testing occurred, I had to document and resolve issues with engineering teams; this could be a long process sometimes. At the end of testing, we were able to sign off that we could predict the system's behavior and guarantee data accuracy. Deploying CMRRA's new system to production brought new challenges. We might build better, faster, smarter systems, but communicating the changes is just as important. I participated in change management by teaching my Canadian colleagues how copyright changes were processed. Being a good teacher means providing candy when they get the correct answers. At the end of the training, my Canadian colleagues understood how the new system operated. My passion project is building a renter-friendly wall hook system. I have learned 3D printing, CAD, and rapid prototype ideas to design a device that is easy to hang, space, and level wall hooks. I can hang a gallery of frames in minutes, a task that used to take 30 minutes to an hour or more. The system works well enough that I am currently obtaining a patent. I believe this system will help renters, business owners, and many others in the future. Please reach out if you would like to ask any questions or discuss opportunities.Core competencies:Cross-functional collaboration, teaching, training, road mapping, data modeling, data analysis, data quality, data integrity, data reliability, data governance, data visualization, data mining, data warehouse, ETL/ELT, developing KPIs, researching, A/B testing, experimentation, testing strategies, quantitative analysis, statistical analysis, process improvement, project management, standardizing documentation, solving complex problems, SDLC, Agile development, storytelling
