Role included the initial formation of a fine wine trade desk and liaison with independent merchants throughout the UK to sell investment-grade fine wine. The role evolved in March 2020 to assume all procurement responsibilities for the company including sourcing investment grade wine from suppliers in the UK, Bordeaux and the USA, examining condition reports and resolving broker/colleague queries. Regions included Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Rhone,Italy and the Napa Valley.Achievements included using industry contacts to expand the network of suppliers from 25 to 55 since March 2020, 36 of which I personally developed or re-engaged with. Procurement spend was over £12.6 million compared to only £5million in the previous 3 years. Also found a new buyer for over £70,000 of Screaming Eagle in October/November.
