E-learning, curriculum design, at risk youth, special needs, experiential education, professional development, Moodle, senior sciences, programme development, aboriginal education, educational leadership, outdoor education, teacher training.Digital Environments: I have experience teaching with Desire to Learn (While I taught at Queens University), Moodle (While I taught at SPIDER DL program for SD #46) and Black board (as a student at UBC). I currently use some web based learning platforms in my practice. I am using www.myblueprint.ca to teach 268 students in Grade 10-12 in a blended learning, partial pull out, experiential learning environment for Career Educaiton. I also use MathProdigy as a game based math support that helps to differentiate and individualize learning in a Math 9 classroom. The game also allows me to gain real time formative data that can guide my instruction. Most importantly there is a high level of engagement on the part of the student. I also use Khan Academy as an additional support for instruction when I am unclear of the instructional approach and concept to a Math 9 class I teach. There are a few other web resources I am currently using, Kahoot (for quick and fun formative assessment), Big History Project (an elective 9 and for Earth Science 11. I am trying out www.Radixendeavor.org for STEM instruction. Students have completed the on-line math course through Stanford on math literacy.Results: During time at Chatelech provincial exam results increased, aboriginal graduation rates at historical high and implemented Response to Intervention to further increase graduation rates. Struggling Math 9 students I had last year are all being successful in their Math 10 course this academic year 2017-2018.
