I am a registered mental health nurse (RMN) at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, where I have been working in the intensive home treatment team (IHTT). I have a BSc (Hons) first class degree in MH nursing, PhD level research interest, a PG diploma in high intensity psychological interventions, and an ILM level 5 certificate in leadership and management. I also have extensive training and experience in low intensity psychological therapy, long term conditions, and clinical supervision. My mission is to provide holistic, person centred, and evidence based care for people who are experiencing severe mental illness ‘crisis’ and who may be at risk of harm to themselves or others. I work autonomously and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of elite professionals from psychiatry, nursing, social work, psychotherapy, and occupational therapy. I am proud and privileged to be part of such an outstanding team that delivers high quality and compassionate service to our clients and their families. I am also passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills with others, so I enjoy mentoring, teaching, and leading by example.Unconditional positive regard best sums up my approach to my work (Rogers) and I love the Maya Angelou quote ‘People may forget what you said (or did) but they will never forget how you made them feel…’
