CurrentI'm on the Digital Portfolio team, which runs the BBC Homepage. My role involves:Sourcing, pitching and adapting content from around the BBC to showcase on the HomepageCreating bespoke headlines and images for Homepage content to boost click-through rates while complying with BBC standardsMonitoring how Homepage content performs on analytics and feeding actionable insights back to the team and other stakeholdersForward planning to ensure the Homepage team is aware of key news prospects, sports fixtures, social trends and upcoming transmissionsUsing a variety of content tools, including Tipo, CPS, Telescope, Tableau, Piano Analytics, Chartbeat, Radar, Photoshop, Elvis, BBC Images, BBC Pictures, Getty Images, iBroadcast, Wolftech and TweetDeckAchievementsI led the Homepage's coverage of Sir David Attenborough's TV series Mammals, working with the production team to promote more than 40 pieces of digital content from articles and clips to quizzes and 'watch live' links, generating in excess of 750,000 page views for the programmeI carried out a research project into audience insight tool Telescope, presented my findings to the team and trained colleagues on how to use itI successfully acted up as the content producer for the Homepage – I commissioned content, subbed it, published it to the page, edited it to boost engagement using analytics and provided feedback to colleaguesI was part of a four-strong team managing the Homepage when Queen Elizabeth II died – I removed unsuitable editorial, pitched more appropriate alternatives to my colleagues, and produced respectful content enabling us to bring the page out of obituary mode on schedule
