Currently responsible for the unit-management of the BBC Events department, managing programmes from the development stage through commissioning to delivery.Leading teams delivering the following iconic shows:• Music and entertainment events such as: the Live Earth Global Concerts from Wembley, Children in Need, Our House: The Musical, Help for Heroes from Twickenham, Olympic Handover Concert, Children in Need Rocks the Royal Albert Hall, Rolf Harris at the Royal Albert Hall, Spike Milligan: A Live Tribute, New Year Live.• Factual documentaries & series including: Helmand to Horseguards, Property People, Les Mis at 25, The Queen at 80, Runaways, Prince Charles at 60, Jubilee Girl, William and Kate – A Royal Engagement, Gary Rhodes Cookery Year, and obituaries including Dame Thora Hird, Ronnie Barker, Dudley Moore and Sir Norman Wisdom.• Factual Outside Broadcasts such as: Chelsea Flower Show, Crufts, One Man and His Dog, D-Day 60 and D-Day 65, Cricket Victory Parade from Trafalgar Square, Abolition of Slavery Service from Westminster Abbey, Iraq Memorial Service from St Paul’s Cathedral, Diana Memorial Service from the Guard’s Chapel, Dimbleby Lectures, and 60th Anniversary of the end of World War II.• State occasions including: Trooping the Colour, Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance, The Lord Mayor’s Show, Remembrance Sunday – The Cenotaph, The Queen’s Christmas Broadcast.

(additional responsibility alongside continuing BBC Events role)Working on high-volume and fast-turnaround development activities for new programme strands, creating outline budgets and schedules and dealing with price-point issues ahead of commissioning rounds to assess viability of new formats. Led to commissioning of shows such as Wedding Stories, Heston Blumenthal – In Search of Perfection and notably The One Show, the biggest single commission outside returning drama that the BBC has ever awarded.

Responsible for sales and service delivery for key internal and external Post Production clients, utilising both staff and freelance craft base across offline, online, audio, grading and high-end finishing. Responsible for financial forecasting and delivery, competing with external facility houses whilst adhering to Fair Trading regulations

Bookings management of Arts, Classical Music and Drama departments. Translating commercial deals into schedules, coordinating use of internal resources, responding to scheduling and delivery issues.

Responsible for scheduling internal craft staff, servicing the in-house post-production operation.
