As Direct Sales Agent, Richard is responsible for promoting and providing the full bouquet of banking services offered by Bank ABC. The position requires daily recruitment of customers through business meetings and public presentations.From January to November 2019 Richard has recruited 426 individual customers and 11 corporate clients, thereby exceeding the targets received by the bank. Richard also managed to collect deposits in excess of 120 million Tanzanian Shilling and sold more than 200 prepaid VISA cards.

The position was part of an internship offered by CRDB Bank. Richard received formal training on customer service, business banking, banking operations and credit control. After the first month of induction Richard was placed at Tanga Branch as bank teller. Richard consistently managed to serve the daily target of fourteen walking-in customers. For the last two months of the internship he was allowed to promote CRDB banking services to local farmers, working professionals and public officers in Pangani district.
