• Head of UX Research organization for a core engineering division at Microsoft: Search, Web Services and AI Solutions• Responsible for strategy and deliverables of ux research team working on Bing, Edge, Shopping, News, Maps, Ads, AI chatbots and agents (Xiaoice, Zo, Cortana) for consumers and businesses• Results included developing Bing into new chat-based experience using Generative AI, Chat solutions• Created a Customer Driven program and tools for hundreds of engineers to engage with customers quickly and routinely • Mentor and representative on company-wide Research & Design Leadership Team to develop community, talent and careers

Cheskin Research was established in 1946 with a background of customer-facing research and quantitative analysis for brand and product innovation.• Business developer for a studio of Market and UX Researchers, Data Analysts, and Designers• Managed the client relationship and delivery of customer insights for new product innovation, concept development, positioning and strategy planning• Clients were large tech orgs including Microsoft, Qualcomm, HP, eBay, Philips Healthcare

• Led a team of primary and secondary market researchers managing the Customer Research System (CRS) for all product teams across Microsoft • The CRS program supported the full product cycle from Market Opportunity Analysis to Concept Testing to Customer Satisfaction• Our work created measurable quality improvements in research outcomes, increased partnership with product teams and enabled more cost effective budgeting and planning

• Helped Microsoft develop its first phone, the Windows Phone• Led a team of UX Researchers and Prototypers identifying the primary use cases for the smartphone and creating proof-of-concept models for hardware and software engineers• Team was located in the US and Japan

• Led the Usability Engineering research team for the data-based products in the Office suite, including Excel, Access and Project• Customers were Enterprises and the focus was to identify unmet, unarticulated needs in order to create new features (leading to patented work)
