Extraction of pesticide residues and mycotoxins from agricultural commodities and food; and analysis by Liquid Chromatography and Gas Chromatography systems.Development, improvement and validation of single and multi-residue analytical methods for grains; and the development of HPLC methods for the determination of nutrients, vitamins and preservatives in oils and foods.Conducting regular maintenance and troubleshooting of Waters, Agilent and Shimadzu HPLC and LC-MS instruments.Contributing to the Quality Management System by performing Internal Audits, calibrating pipettes, balances and other laboratory equipment; authoring and updating Standard Operating Procedures, Technical Procedures and Audit Reports.Liaising with instrument manufacturers and equipment suppliers in order to solve problems, arrange service calls and order consumables.Training and observation of new and existing staff members in extraction techniques and instrument operation.Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attendance at workshops, seminars, conferences and reviewing professional publications.Participating in proficiency testing schemes such as FAPAS, NRS, NMI and Korean MFDS.Maintaining sufficient stock levels and preparing purchase orders when required.Preparation of chemical standards and other stock solutions.
