Richard Lublin is an active philanthropist. He and his late wife Jane have been long term supporters of UConn Health. They helped raise millions of dollars to help fund cancer and medical research. In 2014, The University of Connecticut bestowed its highest honor to the Lublins — The Medal of Honor — for their extraordinary philanthropic contributions to cancer research. Richard Lublin continues his active involvement in the fight against cancer as chairman of the 2018 American Cancer Society's (ACS) Annual Bucket List Gala. This prestigious fundraiser has raised more than $4.5 million since its inception in 2011. This year, Lublin hired the legendary Diana Ross, to attract donors at the event held in Naples, FL. The successful fundraiser drew 500 attendees to raise more than one million dollars for The ACS. Other organizations that have benefited from Lublin's generosity include the Lahey Clinic, Hartford Hospital and Cape Cod Hospital.Richard's acting career began in 1995 with an appearance on the hit TV show Married With Children. He's continued to star in several other popular shows, such as Law & Order, The Practice, Frasier, Ally McBeal, Chicago Hope and Rescue Me. Richard also appeared alongside Albert Finney, Ethan Hawke and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in the prestigious Sidney Lumet film, Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead.In 2017, Richard had a role in the new film, The Land of Steady Habits. The movie stars Ben Mendelsohn, a man in his fifties, newly retired. Richard plays the role of Ben's friendly neighbor. Prior to becoming an actor, Richard Lublin served as founding partner of a prestigious 22-attorney law firm in Connecticut, where he handled many notable cases. Richard is passionate about furthering higher education. He served as a guest lecturer in law at Duke University and also founded the Richard K.
