Member of the Drug Discovery Program. Involved in target validation, assay development, screening, and interaction analysis using Biacore SPR.

Worked in the lab of Dr. Kalle Gehring. Involved in a membrane protein structural biology project. Techniques centred around cloning, protein expression, and protein purification and analysis by hplc with UV, fluorescence and multi-angle light scattering detection.Actively involved in collaborative work doing protein-protein, protein-nucleotide and protein-small molecule interaction analysis by Biacore.

- Managed Biological Screening and led the Discovery Team- Handled databases, compound management, robotic in vitro HTS, nephelometry, Biacore analysis of protein-compound interactions, and a variety of cell-based, target modulation assays- Worked closely with our Medicinal Chemistry group for the SAR analysis of hit compounds- Helped coordinate a virtual screening, and compound docking collaboration- Oversaw structural biology collaborators (NMR and X-Ray)

Directed the Target Identification group and later headed up a cell-based screening project looking for p53-independent chemotherapeutics.

Research centered on the Adenovirus death protein, E4orf4, and the mechanism by which it selectively kills human cancer cells.
