About Sam Majoros

I completed my Master of Science in Bioinformatics and am working as a bioinformatician and researcher. I currently work as a bioinformatician at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research and am excited to apply my R programming and bioinformatics skills to the healthcare field. I'm very interested in developing programming pipelines in the R programming language, and working with genomic and DNA barcoding data. My personal research focuses on topics related to evolutionary biology, arctic biology and entomology. I also have a Bachelor of Science where I doubled majored in Wildlife Biology and Conservation and Theatre Studies. I have participated in several conferences and published a scientific research paper in Ecology and Evolution. I am also passionate about science communication and about discovering new ways to communicate scientific ideas and concepts. I also have a wide range of theatre experience, both on and off the stage. I believe my unique background and diverse skillset allows me to think creatively and tackle problems from new angles.
