Developer Efficiency (2 workstreams, 9 engineers) is responsible for developer infrastructure that drives engineering productivity and reliable software delivery across the build, test, and deployment phases of the software development life cycle.Our goal is to make all Plaid engineers more productive via the components we own within Plaid’s Internal Developer Platform: CI/CD, Build Tools, Self-serve Deployments, Developer Portal, Service Catalog, gRPC Middleware, and Feature Flagging. We also partner with adjacent teams such as Core Infrastructure, Observability, and Security with the goal of providing well-lit paths for common developer workflows to drive best-practices for operational maturity throughout the company.- Established engineering productivity SLOs, reviewed monthly by senior engineering leadership.- Initiated culture change toward metrics-driven projects within the Developer Efficiency team.- Championed efforts on Developer Efficiency to reduce Plaid's AWS compute/networking expenses by X%.- Partnered with Security organization to integrate best-practices into developer infrastructure: zero trust authorization, 3p dependency management, and container hardening.- Initiated reorganization of scope across multiple teams, and defined a more focused charter for the team.- Grew the team via recruiting, mentoring, and onboarding across multiple engineering levels.

- Managed SWEs in the Cloud and Search organizations: recruiting, career and team development, promotion committee.- Improved Media search retrieval and ranking quality for Assistant: signal integration into ML models, data analysis, and project development. Partnered with cross-functional teams to integrate NLU grammar improvements and BERT for Assistant Media query understanding.- Managed iOS, Android, and Analytics teams for Google Chat (Hangouts). Recruited internal and external candidates to start and grow existing teams, resulting in the addition of 8 SWEs.

- Expanded the Groupon Merchant mobile experience beyond voucher redemption by pioneering and implementing new capabilities while serving as Tech Lead and Manager: mobile credit card payment processing, iPad point-of-sale, and sales analytics. - Led i18n expansion of iOS merchant app to 30 locales, driving millions of Groupon vouchers redeemed.- Directed remote Engineering and QA efforts. Developed sales and support staff.

- Implemented data sync layer and UI for TripIt’s Webby Award winning iOS app.- Acquired by Concur in 2011.

- Implemented software used by traders and portfolio managers in the Asset Management division.- Maintained SQL code to perform ETL operations on equity pricing and portfolio data feeds.- Passed all three levels of the CFA exam (assessing investment and risk management).- Provided first-line support for software issues on the trading desk.
