Mr. Richard Pichardo has served as the Public Safety Director of Valor Security Services since 2009. Leveraging over two decades of exceptional law enforcement experience toward the role, Richard Pichardo remains committed to ensuring public safety and possesses the State of Florida Police Officer Certification, as well as a Private Investigator and Security Manager’s License. A results-oriented professional, Richard Pichardo coordinates and executes carefully considered solutions designed to improve overall operations. Richard Pichardo garnered the bulk of his law enforcement experience in various roles within the Miami-Dade Police Department. From 1983 to 2006, Richard Pichardo worked his way up from preparing accident reports as a Public Service Aide to overseeing police operations in the Town of Cutler Bay as its first police commander. Throughout his time with the Miami-Dade Police Department, Richard Pichardo impressed colleagues, superiors, and patrons alike with his unparalleled devotion to professional excellence. Richard Pichardo’s dedication is reflected in the large number of commendations he has received, as well as awards, such as the Exceptional Service Award, the Silver Medal of Valor, and the Employee Excellence Award. Extensively trained, Richard Pichardo has completed various career development courses through the Metropolitan Police Institute since beginning his career in 1983. Among Richard Pichardo’s completed programs are Drug/Alcohol Awareness, Traffic Education Instructor Certification, Rapid Response Tactics/Entry, Police Instructor Certification, Critical Incident Tactical Response, and Search Warrant Training, inter alia. Richard Pichardo also holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies from Miami, Florida’s Barry University. An active member of his community, Richard Pichardo is highly involved in organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and the Florida Law Enforcement Special Olympics.
