Successful strategic transformation of the University digital presence. The scope was user experience, mobile, internet, intranet, content strategy, enterprise search, integration, personalisation, accessibility, technology, and cloud hosting.Delivered five websites with premium user experience, and extensive re-use of templates and content: The www.mq.edu.au public website, the staff intranet staff.mq.edu.au, and the student intranet students.mq.edu.au. The self-contained applied finance centre www.mafc.mq.edu.au and graduate management school www.mgsm.edu.au were added into scope and delivered with the same framework and platform.The starting position was numerous independent siloed websites on different platforms with unclear ownership and no catalogues of information in these sites. Contradiction and duplication were common.The project spanned the entire University, plus the majority of the University owned entities.It was characterised by large scale change management, and agile execution which evolved as the unknowns were quantified and the user expectations researched.

Pioneering internet trading of Foreign Exchange options.Project started with over the counter (OTC) options.Counterparties were large corporations, investment and reserve banks.Phase 2 delivered structured options - products built from a combination of options.The third phase of the project introduced online chat to negotiate prices realtime with a trader after quoting phase.The fourth phase provided multilingual trading, resulting in business growth in Europe.The fifth phase of the project delivered a trading interface to branches for business banking managers to trade options with medium businesses.The sixth phase recast the system as a white label tool which smaller national banks could use to trade FX options with their customers.This project was implemented using J2EE technology with an Oracle db.
