I started my career in law enforcement working for United American Security and DSA Security as a armed and unarmed officer. Working for these two companies I learned how to enforce basic laws on private property. My goal is to continue working in law enforcement gaining knowledge I need to be successful in my career field. I have a associate degree in crminal justice with a G.P.A. of a 3.36. I also have a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice Public Administration with a G.P.A. of a 3.32. I currently work for the Virginia Department of Corrections as a correctional officer. I have excellent skills in communications, customer service, asset protection security, and private investigations.Overall, I continue to be a dedicated to improving my skills through out my career.I have my firearms endorsement in security and with the Department of Corrections. I also have my private investigation license. I have good knowledge of 861.1 and 420.3 operating procedure and a variety of policies.I have experience facilitating rehabilitative methods and experience preparing reports. Working as an Correction Officer I have demonstrated ability to counsel and interact with offenders in a positive manner. I have educational experience providing counseling and targeted intervention to criminal justice and human services clients on an ongoing basis in a fast paced, high volume setting. I also have educational and training experience making referrals to service program providers and to management for review. I worked as a Site Supervisor for United American Security. I have two years of experience as a supervisor in private security and five years of experience in security. I have excellent leadership skill and have the ability to make good judgment calls under stress in an productive manner. I have the ability to produce written reports using a computer and other electronic devices.
