Brian has presented at multiple technical conferences, including Intel Developer Forum, Bsides PDX, LinuxCon, FOSDEM, Linaro Connect, and UEFI Plugfest.Brian is also an event host and celebrity panel moderator for Dragon Con, the "largest multi-media, pop culture convention focusing on science fiction & fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe" (their words, but it's pretty darn big). He co-founded DragonConTV, which manages the convention's on-site video productions and served as its director from 2005-2017. Brian still serves as "executive producer" for new video content as the team's Creative Content Lead.In 2023, Brian joined the Bsides PDX board of directors. He also manages their YouTube channel and video streaming infrastructure.Brian incorporates his interest in photography, video production, and event hosting at Dragon Con into his work in technical marketing. He also incorporates his interest in martial arts into his farm improvement projects by occasionally kicking things that don't work properly.
