In my mind, Agile is a state of continuous improvement of both product and process. An effective Agile methodology strives to produce consistent increments of value for stakeholders, while additionally encouraging development teams to constantly improve upon their existing methods. The purpose of Agile is to help produce the best product possible. In practice, this means never taking things for granted. New stakeholder requirements? Build an increment to validate them. New technology? Build a prototype to evaluate it. New team members? Find ways for them to provide unique contributions to the team. Fail fast and often, and learn from each failure. Bring stakeholders in to the development process, and let them participate in discovering their true needs. Keep the increments that endure scrutiny, and truly excellent software is created.I also make amazing sourdough bread from a wild starter. I love cooking in general.
