I built the business case for and then managed a major programme of application/process development to deliver a new model of releasing and implementing the TrakCare product to our customers worldwide.•-Working across the product, development, releasing engineering and QD teams this enabled the product to be to configured and released at a regional level while still having a common, best practice, global configuration that is shared by all regions.•-Managed the requirements gathering, development and QA of major architectural changes to the product and its build/release process to support this change.•-Once ready for Beta,worked across 8 different countries to implement the new methodology. Directly supported their migration to the new architecture and the implementation process changes needed, identifying and feeding back improvements so they could be ready for the next country.•-Provided on-site support for the first customer go-lives in each region•-Identified a number of strategic improvements to the underlying product that could be done in parallel with this development work to reduce overall effort.-Also on a number of occasions, have provided short term, on-site intervention for troubled implementation projects in UK and South America.

Scotland

Central Technical manager for the development and rollout of TrakCare for the Scottish national Patient Management System, delivering to 5 boards covering 70% of the population of Scotland.•-Managed the technical development of the Scottish edition of the TrakCare product to meet the National requirements set out in the contract. This covered all parts of the application from customisations to reporting and interfacing and also producing the standard product technical implementation documentation to cover installing and supporting the product•-As part of this also managed the implementation of a new source control and release system to enable the management and release of product changes to customers.• In implementation phase worked with NHS and InterSystems project/programme managers across the regions to ensure the plans reflected the correct set of tasks and timings for the technical aspects of delivering the programme.•-Directly responsible for technical delivery of the first two boards' implementations, while providing guidance and support to the client based technical leads for the others.•-Managed the relationship with the NHS IT Directors to ensure their technical infrastructure and support processes were ready to implement TrakCare.

Canada & Antigua/Atlantic

Took a career break to do a ski season in Canada to learn and qualify as a Ski Instructor and then learnt to sail and sailed a non-stop transatlantic passage from Antigua to the UK on a 47-foot yacht.
