An accelerated route to learning about insurance fraud, specifically home claims fraud. This role was all about learning new systems, products and data and identifying new trends. I was involved in developing an automated fraud scorecard for the new claims system.

A time of huge change and development - being part of a rapidly expanding Commodities department which included new products, acquisitions, systems, emerging global offices, teams and new reporting requirements. It was a time of fast pace and adapting, ultimately put to test during the banking crisis of 2008.This role was all about learning about multiple products and trading processes, becoming an expert around data, doing things quicker and more efficiently to meet global deadlines and anticipating risk. The key was developing MI and reconciliation tools quickly, building reports that were meaningful and easy to understand and influencing others to make sure deadlines were met.The key to this role was combining technical and business skills to ensure this was key function in the business.

Part of a testing team for involved in a significant system implementation creating testing plans and automating testing. I have since used these skills on numerous projects since.

A contract role in a newly developed and rapidly expanding OTC Derivatives business. I was responsible developing Access VBA tools based on changing business requirements. As well as building tools for new teams, I was working with feeds from systems there were still being built so this role was all about being agile and adaptive.

Working at the head office, this role was all about MI delivery to multiple departments with multiple products. The predominant MI tool was SAS and the key was translating user requirements into usable and accurate MI.

Responsible for developing a MS Access solution to record, store and calculate incentive payments for sales staff across multiple offices.
