Richie serves as Foundry’s Filmed Entertainment Director and provides Foundry projects with unprecedented access to buyers in the film, television and digital (webisode, etc) entertainment markets. After a decade in Los Angeles as an intellectual properties agent at William Morris Endeavor (WME) and previously ICM, Richie moved to New York to develop rights directly for publisher Thomas Dunne Books, before returning to his first love — representation. At Foundry, Richie coordinates the sales process of all the agency's titles in partnership with the best film co–agents in the business. Richie’s knowledge of the marketplace and relationships in Los Angeles, New York and elsewhere allow Foundry to make a precise filmed rights plan for each project, and provide thoughtful and personalized guidance to all of Foundry’s clients for both new and existing projects. No independent agency has this resource available exclusively for their clients, and certainly not in this robust of a manner. Prior to joining Foundry, Richie worked with authors, actors, directors and producers across the entertainment industry. In his position at WME, Richie had the honor of working closely with bestselling authors across the spectrum including Jesse Bering, Harlan Coben, Melissa de la Cruz, Davy Rothbart and Whitley Streiber. He also packaged multiple projects for clients like Charlize Theron, Kevin Bacon, Jessica Alba and Kiki Palmer among others. Book adaptations in every medium examples include GIRLS WHO LIKE BOYS WHO LIKE BOYS (Sundance Channel), hit stage show FOUND: A NEW MUSICAL (Atlantic Theater Company) and INTO THE FORREST, a movie, starring Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood being released in theaters later this year.

Acquired comedy and mystery novels for the imprint. Simultaneously functioned as a development executive for all divisions of Macmillan Publishing including Henry Holt, Scientific American/Farrar, Straus and Giroux, Tor/Forge in addition to St. Martin’s Press working with studios, networks and producers to create television opportunities for Macmillan titles.
