I’ve been fascinated with computers for as long as I can remember (maybe even before that, really). My early interest was driven by a desire to install video games on my family PC. From there, I started collecting old computers and parts from family and friends, piecing them together to try and make even more powerful machines. I started my career pursuing my secondary passion: writing. After a bit of time blending my skills as a web content writer, I realized that I wanted to work on software directly. I spent a few months teaching myself to code, and reached out to some connections to ask for a chance to prove myself as an intern. I was given a chance, and haven’t looked back since.I have now had the opportunity to work on a variety of software projects and teams of all sizes. I enjoy learning new things and building amazing software, so I consider myself technology agnostic. The end user doesn’t care what your stack is, as long as the software you create is great! That said, I have experience in: -Python for both server side applications and client libraries-Javascript (ES6, NodeJS) on both server and in the browser -Web technologies - HTML, CSS, HTTP, REST, GraphQL, MVC-Containerization (Docker) -Version control (Git)-Big data applications (Presto, Hive, Spark)-Scrum, Kanban (certified CSM)In addition to my technical skills, I also specialize in product and feature management, and I enjoy putting effort into understanding use cases and requirements. I believe that software is a tool to get things done, so I focus on understanding the things that need doing.
