I represented the helo community to the 3-Star Admiral. I was only in this position a very short time when I was placed in charge of C4ISR (N-6). My team (77 civilians/military) coordinated the installs and upgrades to the Communications infrastructure on the 6 West Coast carriers. Each carrier had an average of 89 complex C4ISR type systems and our responsibilities were to ensure that all systems were complete and up-to-date prior to each deployment. I retired from the Navy with over 4,600 accident free hours.
