About Richard Stenning
My first taste of User Experience Design came some eight years ago where I applied it to my love of live music and fascination of the various sub-cultures within it, I created my own successful gig listing website with the goal to provide essential and relevant gig information to music lovers in a simple format which I continue to manage to this day. With the support of the UX immersive course at General Assembly, I've transitioned from applying basic UX methodologies to now being well practiced in delivering the complete design process.Having graduated with an award winning Entertainment Technology degree I have always had a fascination with the tech industry and have gained a wide variety of transferable skills in my career since. I have had the pleasure of meeting some very interesting people from a broad variety of cultures as an Adjudicator for Guinness World Records and have gained some incredible experiences along the way. Spending time with people in different cultural contexts has led me to realise the importance of varying user needs, and how challenging and rewarding it can be to design for people.My hard work has been rewarded with promotions or offers to return to every workplace in my career and I am now enthusiastic to join a collaborative UX team that values humour and mentorship/career progression.
