Rick Black is Executive Vice President at Dennard Lascar Investor Relations, an investor relations and financial communications consulting and analytical services firm. He manages the firm’s Dallas office and is the senior leader of multiple client teams providing strategic financial communications planning to small and mid-cap public companies. Rick has extensive experience working with pre-IPO companies and launching multiple public offerings. His current client base spans diverse industry sectors, including industrial, banking, energy and retail sectors with prior experience in technology, healthcare, banking and others. With more than 20 years of investor relations experience, as well as media relations and crisis management experience, Rick has served as a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams and Board of Directors on behalf of companies in multiple industries. Prior to joining Dennard Lascar, Rick was a Senior Vice President at H+K Strategies where he managed the firm’s largest Texas client in the healthcare sector. He also led additional client teams, including managing financial and crisis communications projects such as hostile takeover attempts and proxy contests, among others. He is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and has served on the Dallas-Fort Worth NIRI Chapter Board since 2013, including as a former chapter president. He also teaches a financial communications course through Southern Methodist University’s (SMU) continuing education program. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations with a minor in marketing from Texas Tech University.
